This battery indicator works for 12/24V, 36V ,48V and 72V batteries, can be used on trucks, golf carts, boats, scooters and any other battery operated unit. When the battery is fully charged, the 10th LED(nearest to "F" side) will illuminate green; as the battery discharges, successive lower LED(9th, 8th ... 1st) will light up, one at a time. When the 2nd(near to "E" side) LED lights up, it indicates the battery is almost running out of electricity(only 20% left). Both the 1st and 2nd LED flashing indicates the battery is empty.
